Apple Aiming to Launch iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11 'By April'

Earlier today, we reported on a proven leaker's claim that a new iPhone SE and iPad 11 would be released alongside iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3. Just minutes later, however, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman put the kibosh on that rumor.

In a follow-up social media post, Gurman said an iPhone SE replacement and new iPads are "being developed on the iOS 18.3 train," but that "doesn't mean" the software updates and the devices will launch simultaneously. Instead, Gurman said Apple is aiming to release the devices "by April," at some point "before iOS 18.4" is released.

So, there you have it. Sometimes one rumor quickly leads to another, and now we have a clearer timeframe for the launch of these devices.

Yes. The new clearer timeframe is now sometime between tomorrow and the end of April... "but obviously things can still theoretically change"

He is the only guy to listen to. His track record is 100% if you exclude issues that come up at Apple.

You mean his track record is 100% if you exclude all the times he's been wrong or repeatedly pushes back the release date such as with iPads ('https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/apple-announces-let-loose-event-on-may-7-amid-rumors-of-new-ipads.2424737/page-4?post=33086275#post-33086275')

Speaking of, hope we see an M4 MBA release this month if not next. As an experiment I’ve been relying solely on my 11” Pro since gifting my old MBA to my college bound daughter in the fall, and this has not been a fun experience. Love my Pro, but anyone that thinks it can fully replace a computer is either the antithesis of a power user, or solely speaking out of PR fueled ignorance.

Until the Pro line comes with a MacOS option, it remains a supplement, not a replacement.

Hopefully an iPad Air will be released at that time as well.
Most likely won't because Apple wants to move on from the M3 due to manufacturing challenges, and giving M4 to iPad Air would be on par with the iPad Pro, which Apple most likely won't do.
