Push Notifications on your Mac
Apple's Safari browser includes a feature that allows users to subscribe to "push" notifications from any website. Pushes show up as notification badges on the top right of your screen and can be used to be instantly notified when there are new MacRumors stories.
In order to subscribe, you need OS X Mavericks (10.9) or later and Safari. Push subscriptions are easy to opt-in to and easy to unsubscribe from using Safari's preferences. Configure your settings below.

Get instant notifications for new MacRumors stories
macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later
In Safari, go to the menu bar at top-left of the screen. Click on Safari → Preferences. Click on the Websites tab, then Notifications in the left menu. Here, you can change Allow to Deny for the MacRumors.com entry.
Earlier macOS versions
The Allow/Deny setting is located in Safari → Preferences. Click on the Notifications tab.
