iPhoto would probably support more cameras, 1 or 2 new editing options, .mac integration (or does it do that already?)
i guess any update is a good update.

Thats great... but what I'd really like is an iMovie update. iMovie is by far Apple's "oldest" iApp.. I don't even remember when it was last updated (iMovie 2 came out at least two years ago)
iMovie is a great program as it is now, but it is far from perfect... it could use more flexibility in title/image placement, audio controls, and various other minor tweaks

iMovie needs serious work fixing the huge bug with exporting files back to the camera that result in stuttering. This has been a giant issue with so many people.
iPhoto could use a few interface tweaks as well. It is not that intuitive to rename groups of photos....Apple seems to want people to name photos and do everything by sorting...that is not practical since it is much easier and more likely to name a folder then have photo1, photo2, photo3, etc in that folder. Not everyone has time to rename and categories all of their photos, probably very few people do.
iPhotos and iMovie seem to be Apple's most consumer facing products and should be extremely polished and bug free. Kudo to apple for making them and making them free.....let's there they put the final polish on each one.

iPhoto is great, but could be better! Here's a few of the items on my wishlist!
1) Allow for sub-folders: I don't want 10 different photo albums of my son, I want 1 album, with 10 subfolders.
2) Allow different key words in every new album. My photos dealing with work do not use the same types of key words as my photos dealing with family.
3) Allow quick-key assigning of keywords during slideshow, so that I can "watch" a show of my photos, and quickly tag them.
4) Password protection of either entire program, or better yet, specific photo albums.
I think I have a longer list around here somewhere, but this should do for now!

Oh shut up, you know what we mean. As much as I love Final Cut Pro, many people don't want to shell out so much money. Sorry, didn't mean to single you out...
As of all of the suggested features to iPhoto, be careful what you wish for. What do more features mean? More ways to screw up. The beauty of hese iApps is in their simplicity. Final Cut Pro and iMovie are an example of this. Final Cut Pro is so packed with features that it can be overwhelming. When i did my first edit, I used iMovie, and you know what? I didn't need to look at the help file once. Now that I'm up with big dogs like Yuk-Monkey, I have more problems simply because Final Cut Pro is so huge.
Just my two quarters...

Oh I didn't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers there P-worm. It took me a few months to learn most of the stuff I wanted to know in FCP but man, I would never go back to iMovie! I acknowledge that price is a factor. But if people are serious enough into iMovie to start requiring features is doesn't have then maybe they need to at least consider moving up to FCP. iMovie is what it is, a simple to use program that, by design, lacks some of the features of the pro applications. Sure they could probably make iMovie a LOT better with little or no effort. Its sort of like when Chevy puts the same engine in the Corvette and the Camaro to save money. However, those customers who are paying a premium for the vette don't want some 18 year old high school kid blowing their doors off so they purposely restrict the intake and exhaust, among other things to satisfy their higher paying customers. Maybe that is what apple is doing? Sure apple keeps updating iTunes. There isn't a pro audio application to compete with. iPhoto, no problem. No pro image editing app. Maybe I'm way off base, just a theory.

How about a video organizing program? Like iTunes or iPhoto with videos. I am utterly obsessed with Kung Fu and have about 150 kung fu videos, it would be nice to be able to organize them into groups, and stuff like that.
