Whoa! That's goning to be great if true

"The entire display line is going consumer/professional," reports our source.

I wonder what the price will be? Most likely something around the $1400 mark. It would be nice if they could offer it around $1k though. Also the resolution should be curious. Are they going to go for the standard aspect ratio as in the 17" and 15" or the Cinema style seen in the 22" and 23".

Its going to be a long wait, if we see it at all - all thing SpyMac should be handle with caution.
:D

They get rid of the 22" display. Who would buy that? Ok ok, i know someone who did :-) But I'm sure the sales have been at least cut in half since the intro of the 23"

no no no i want the 19 inch LCD this summer. drop the 15 inch LCD and have the 17 for $700 the 19 for $1200 the 22 for $2200 and the 23HD for $3300.

the 19 inch would look great with my new July Power Mac

I kinda doubt that 50% of the people in the market for a wide-aspect ratio monitor think the one THOUSAND dollar premium demanded for an extra inch of screen real estate (high definition be damned) is cost effective. I wonder what impact the 23" really has had on the 22"... the HDTV angle seems kinda nichey.. even for Apple.

From my limited experience in that area:
If they can afford the 22, they can afford the 23.
They don't usually care -- they just buy top of the line regardless of what it is. (I know these are overly generalized statements.. like I said, in my limited, biased observations of those who use such a screen.)

i too tend to think that if someone can get the 22, they can get the 23... of course there are plenty of exceptions to this rule. there WILL be cases where someone is able to save up the price of the 22", just for that big jump from 17 to 22. but they can't make the extra thousand for the 23. but in general i think it's companies that can get the top of the line and for the most part, would.

not sure how many companies would dump "old" 22's for the new 23's... but i'd be willing to take them off their hands. ha

The new 19" should be wide aspect........ that'd be cool....

I'm really suprised that the imac doesn't sport a 15.2" screen the same as the TiBook...... I know that conventional 15" screens are cheaper, but sharing parts between machines is a good a place as any to save alittle bit of money!!
