Wallet App Now Supports Apple Account Cards on iOS 15.5

Apple appears to have recently updated the Wallet app to allow users to add an Apple Account Card, which displays the Apple credit balance associated with an Apple ID.

If you receive an App Store or Apple Store gift card, for example, it is added to an Apple Account that was previously visible in the ‌App Store‌ and ‌Apple Store‌ apps. As of today, the Apple Account balance can also be added to a new card in the Wallet app.

To add the card, open up the Wallet app and under "Available Cards," tap on "Add Apple Account." As long as you have an Apple Account balance, you'll be able to add the card.

Once added, you can view your Apple Account balance right from the Wallet app and use it to purchase Apple products, apps, games, and music. It works in the same way as any other card in the Wallet app when at an ‌Apple Store‌. The Apple Account Card replaces the iTunes Pass that used to be available quite some time ago.

The Apple Account Card can be added on devices running iOS 15.5 or later.

Same, it won’t let me add it because I have different App Store and iCloud accounts. Feels like we’re being punished for being long time Apple users. I’ve had my App Store account since the iPhone 3G. Wish I could merge them.

I have been asking for this for years. Glad I’m not the only one. There should be an option in settings that allows you to skip subscription payments with this method and default to the card on file.

I just came here to say this! If I change my region and language from Australia to the United States, the option to add my account works.... except for having two accounts so it's a no for me
