iPhone 16 Leak Reveals This All-New Button
Following the addition of the Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro models, all iPhone 16 models may feature yet another all-new button.
Apple plans to add a so-called "Capture" button to all iPhone 16 models, according to pre-production information obtained by MacRumors. The button would be located below the power button on the right side of the device, where the mmWave antenna window is currently located on U.S. models of the iPhone 12 and newer. That antenna window would be moved to the left side of the device, under the volume buttons.
The button would be on the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it will be used "for taking video," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. It is possible that the button will trigger spatial video capture for playback on Apple's upcoming Vision Pro mixed reality headset, although this is not confirmed.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 16 lineup in September, so the devices are still around eight months away from launching. Given how early it is, the company's plans for the "Capture" button could change over time.
