Apple's iOS and macOS Still Have a Nasty Vulnerability, So Update Now
iPhone and Mac users should update to the latest version of iOS and macOS to fix a serious security vulnerability, Apple has cautioned.

Apple released iOS 16.3.1 and macOS 13.2.1 on Monday, February 13 – a small update to fix a range of bugs and issues on the iPhone and Mac. The software update includes several minor bug fixes, but its most important part is a fix for a severe issue with WebKit, Apple's browser engine used in apps like Safari, that allows maliciously crafted web content to execute code.
More troublingly, Apple says this issue was known to be "actively exploited" in the wild, so it is very important that users update to the new software as soon as possible to avoid potential problems. The vulnerability was a type confusion issue that Apple says has been addressed with improved checks in iOS 16.3.1 and macOS 13.2.1.
The iOS 16.3.1 and macOS 13.2.1 updates also fix issues with Siri and Find My, a problem with iCloud settings, and introduces additional Crash Detection optimizations for iPhone 14 models. In addition, there is an accompanying iPadOS 16.3.1 update to address the same issues on the iPad.
