This guy has to be extremely popular. He is winning all these awards. Someone please tell me why he is winning all these awards besides him being funny.
Because Ted Lasso is the best comedy series of the year by a mile. Apple finally got its mega-hit, both with critics and prestige, and with audiences.

Just after winning the Critics Choice Award for best comedy series ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/03/07/ted-lasso-wins-critics-choice-award/'), Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso" has been nominated for additional awards from the Director's Guide of America (DGA) ('https://www.dga.org/News/PressReleases/2021/2100308-73rd-Annual-DGA-Awards-Television-Nominees-Announced.aspx') and the Producer's Guild of America (PGA) ('https://variety.com/2021/awards/awards/producers-guild-awards-nominations-2021-borat-judas-ma-rainey-1234924858/').
Some small typos in that first paragraph:

Should be "Directors" and "Producers" (no apostrophes), and "Guild" (not "Guide") following the word "Directors."

Also, the article could be updated to indicate that the equally prestigious Writers Guild of America (WGA) also has nominated "Ted Lasso" for best comedy.

But these posts for every type of obscure award are getting to be a bit annoying. Especially when there are multiple in a 24hr period, lol.
A) Not obscure awards. Just because you have never heard of them does not make them obscure.

B) It is awards' season. We are only getting started. Maybe come back in a couple months because Ted Lasso is going to get nominated for EVERYTHING.

My wife and I started this show after it won the Golden Globe. It's hilarious, heartwarming, and heavy. On par with Barry for our favorite comedy of the past five years.

Can’t really stand football, but Ted Lasso is one of the greatest thing I’ve ever watched. I’m hoping for a 2nd season.
Your hope is well-placed ('https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/ted-lasso-renewed-season-3-apple-1234817924/#!') ;)
