The entire design of Apple's upcoming 2021 iPad Pro appears to have leaked online via alleged factory CAD images.
91mobile and MySmartPrice recently posted a series of leaked factory CAD images purportedly depicting Apple's upcoming fifth-generation 11-inch iPad Pro. The images offer what may be the clearest indication yet that Apple's next-generation iPad Pro models will feature very few external design changes.
According to MySmartPrice, the fifth-generation 11-inch iPad Pro will be the same thickness as the current model, but Apple will "shave off some millimeters from the length and breadth." The device may also exhibit changes to the internal speaker system, resulting in external changes to the design and placement of the speaker grilles.
According to one rumor, the rear cameras are said to protrude less on the new iPad Pro models, perhaps due to an increase in thickness. It has been suggested that Apple will offer a high-end mini-LED 12.9-inch model, which could be about 0.5mm thicker to accommodate the more advanced display unit.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that a mini-LED iPad Pro is expected to arrive in the first half of this year, while DigiTimes and Korea's ETNews believe a mini-LED iPad Pro will launch in early 2021.
Rather than a mini-LED display being limited to just the high-end 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple plans to make the new display technology also available on the smaller 11-inch iPad Pro next year, according to well respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
In an investor note obtained by MacRumors today, Kuo said that alongside a new MacBook Air equipped with a mini-LED display next year, Apple is...

The updated 11-inch iPad Pro expected to launch sometime this year can no longer be expected to feature a mini-LED display like its larger 12.9-inch sibling, display analyst Ross Young said today on Twitter. Earlier rumors indicated that after keeping mini-LED exclusive to just the 12.9-inch iPad Pro in 2021, Apple would expand the newer display technology to the smaller 11-inch form...
