ZDNet reports:

Secretive chip maker Transmeta Corp. will make a splash in the Big Apple next week, revealing the names of several PC makers who are expected to use its Crusoe TM 5400 notebook chips.

Transmeta is the new low-cost, presently x86-only, "code-morphing" processor (Crusoe Explored). Rumors/hopes abound that PPC support will come... but mainstream x86 popularity and acceptance will likely be required before the company can make its move into the less-plentiful PPC market.
