Apple 'Investigating' iPad Pros Unresponsive After Charging, Recommends Restart as Interim Fix

Shortly after the launch of the iPad Pro, buyers began complaining about an issue that caused the iPad Pro to become unresponsive after charging, requiring a hard restart to restore functionality.

Apple has now responded to those complaints with a support document letting customers know it's looking into the problem and recommending the aforementioned hard restart as an interim fix.

iPad-Pro-Charging

To get back to using your iPad Pro, force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating.

After being charged, affected iPad Pros appear to be completely frozen, unresponsive to touch and other interactions. The screen remains dark until a reset is performed. The issue appears to be quite widespread, with complaints on the Apple Support Communities, the MacRumors forums, and reddit.

Both 32 and 128GB (Wi-Fi and LTE) iPad Pro models on iOS 9.1 have been affected, and it is not clear if the problem is related to hardware or software. Software is a strong possibility, as iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users started seeing a similar issue with their smartphones randomly powering off and becoming unresponsive last month.

serves people right for buying this piece of garbage. a "pro" tablet should never ever EVER run IOS. It's literally just a bigger iPad air with slightly better specs. Whats the point in laying down the same amount of cash for this as a macbook?

Apple will soon state that people are charging it wrong and turning the iPad off incorrectly. Seriously, Apple is no different than microsoft when it comes to excuses. Apple hate to admit their flaws...
They sent out a support document. They admitted there's a problem. They're looking into a fix.

Enough of this non-stop Apple hating already. Some of you just wait for any article to throw in any irrelevant blind criticism you can think of.

I have been a long time Apple fan. I have purchased few dozen Apple products, and I used to recommend Apple products to my friends and family members.

But I agree, it seems like the past couple years Apple products and software has taken a turn. I use Apple today, and Probably a month from now, but in the next few years, who knows?

That said, I think this issue is annoying, but will most likely be fixed soon. Especially since Apple has acknowledged it.
I think there are a few things to consider with regards to Apple dropping the ball slightly:
1. Are they now diversifying into too many products and are unable to sustain the high levels of quality we used to know?
2. Are peoples expectations not partly to blame due to the general public wanting to see not only significant yearly updates but the constant need to have innovative products?
3. Technology is moving at a far more rapid pace than it has ever done with no signs of slowing down, all technology companies are struggling to meet peoples expectations.

My opinion is technology cannot continue at its current rate and at some point will need to slow down to give people breathing space. It will continue to thrive, progress and develop as it should but the pace needs to slow down.

Maybe because there's a reason for our hate. This is not the same apple we had 3 years ago. That was actually a company worth buying from. Nowadays, everything they make s garbage.
I wouldn't say their stuff is all garbage these days, but there does seem to be more and more buggy products and less innovations/excitement these days.
