'Genius Bar' TV Pilot

Hollywood Reporter notes a new comedy television pilot ("Genius Bar") that has been given the go ahead by CBS.

... the project explores the interactions between people who work at a place similar to the Genius Bar at the Apple stores and the cool, hip and beautiful employees at a nearby Abercrombie & Fitch-type store.

The idea reportedly drew strong interest from ABC, CBS and NBC but finally ended up at CBS. The show will be written by Josh Sternin and Jeff Ventimilia who were executive producers of Fox's "That 70's Show".

The show is based on an idea by "consumer marketing expert" Krishnan Menon who had previously been involved with the launch and marketing of the iMac and iPod for Apple.
