When Is Apple Intelligence Launching in the European Union?
Apple continues to roll out its Apple Intelligence features to Mac users in the European Union who are using macOS Sequoia 15.2 with supported settings and languages. However, the broader launch for iPhone and iPad users has been delayed due to regulatory considerations.

The company has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will arrive for EU iPhone and iPad users in April 2025. The rollout will include core features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, an enhanced version of Siri with improved language comprehension, ChatGPT integration, and more.
The delayed mobile launch stems from Apple's need to address "regulatory uncertainties" related to the EU's Digital Markets Act. Apple announced in June that it would postpone several features, including iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay Screen Sharing, to ensure compliance with EU competition rules.
Originally with the release of iOS 18.1, EU users could only access Apple Intelligence if they have a US Apple Account and their device's Language and Region settings were set to US English. However, Apple expanded language support in December's iOS 18.2 update to include localized English for several regions, including Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK.
The EU launch will likely coincide with the global release of iOS 18.4, which is expected to include significant Siri improvements, such as enhanced personal context awareness and expanded cross-app functionality.
