I've only ever bought my iPad Pros through Apple's refurbished store. Never had an issue.

The hardware has been bulletproof since the iPad 2 in 2011. It's always been a software problem for the iPad.

The iPad 3 didn't break, it was just slow.

My 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 still runs like a champ. I use it for games for my daughters. It served me well for 2 years of heavy daily usage before that. It's 5.5 years old and I have no complaints.
