Not bad if you need/want something now/at this price, and don't mind watching something better come out in ~3 months.
I imagine they'll be available at this price point fairly regularly once the new models come out though so I don't know that I'd rush out and buy it.
Still I'll pass this along to friend who is looking (although RIP currencies other than USD so... :/)
Seeing these models were introduced Oct 18, 2021, and it took a year and half for the M2, you won’t see anything better until WWDC 2023 at the earliest. You also must know that 14”/16” reviews of being one of the best laptops to buy hasn’t slowed their appeal either.

The 16” base model for $1999, is a great deal considering its mini LED display and 6 speakers is exceptional.

I'll pass. The M1 Pro CPU says it's "Scary Fast" but I don't like being scared. I have enough stress in my life.

I'd be surprised if anything shows up before March. I'm thinking more like 4-5 months.
