Apple's active install base includes iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch, and it has grown from 1.5 active billion devices in January 2020 and 1.65 active billion devices in January 2021.

Cook did not break out numbers for individual devices, but last year said that Apple had more than billion active iPhones worldwide.

That is an incredible number of devices! I wish they would have provided a breakdown on the numbers for each device.

Congrats Apple. We’ll deserved.

And it’s important to note, these devices are privacy-forward devices. Without Apple, we would live in a world where Zuck and China and Korea and faceless data brokers and Google would know everything about everyone.

I suspect Apple competitors wish the same thing!

Now Apple is close to 25% of the world's population owning an Apple device. It's mind-boggling.
I highly doubt that. I'd be more than willing to bet it's closer to 10% given how many people have more than one device and how unaffordable Apple devices are for a large percentage of the world's population. Doesn't make it any less impressive however.

I remember when Steve Jobs said he'd be happy if iPhone captured 1% of the US mobile phone market. Now Apple is close to 25% of the world's population owning an Apple device. It's mind-boggling.

I think you meant "these devices are marketed as privacy-forward devices." Because with Apple, we still live in a world where Zuck, China, Korea, and faceless data brokers and Google still know everything about everyone. That everyone includes Apple device owning individuals. Apple's marketing doesn't change that. That's more important to note dontcha think.;)
Not really, Apple let’s you decide how vulnerable you want to be to other corporations data mining. You have the opportunity to opt out of all that with Apple and still have fully functioning devices.
