Following in the wake of a deal on the 6-core 21.5-inch iMac (mid 2020) earlier in the week, Amazon is now offering a new deal on the quad-core model. You can get this 21.5-inch iMac (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $1,219.00, down from $1,299.00.

This is the lowest price that we've seen to date on this model of the 2020 21.5-inch iMac, and it's being matched at B&H Photo. The 21.5-inch iMac received a slight update in 2020 with new SSD models, and they also include Retina 4K displays.

Unfortunately, some folks need a computer right now. If I were in that position I'd get an M1 mini + monitor.

... So many complaints on the M1 mini and intel mini’s Bluetooth connectivity put everything on hold...
The new 11.2RC version of Big Sur MAY have addressed the issues with BT. Hopefully in a few days we'll find out.

I've been waiting on the Apple Silicon iMac for my parents. While the 2011 21.5" iMac has served them well, it not supporting more recent Mac OS versions has now become an issue (For example Turbo Tax 2020).
Put a Metal compatible graphics card in that iMac and though unsupported you can run Mojave, Catalina and even Big Sur. There’s a long thread listing cards that may work.

Clearing the inventory for the M1s.

Honestly this design was so amazing when it came out, but it feels dated now, so much bezel space for no reason (look online and you’ll see it is basically empty).
Yep all these years and those empty bezel carries nothing. No improvement on microphone, webcam nor FaceID despite it has the largest bezel that could contain a dozen of iPhone mainboards.
