Isn't it cultural appropriation to just use these traditional indian patterns and the word "Namaste"? Apple really needs to revisit its colonial history and stop RAPING other cultures! Tim Apple, we want answers! /s

On a serious note, I really respect india for having such strict laws in regard to production origin of products. Maybe not Germany alone, but definitely in the context of the EU, they could pull something similar through, if they wanted and the EU-leadership wasn't so hopelessly drunk on globalism. In a way this would force companies to diversify their supply chain, because the highly-optimized single-supply-chains in China came crashing down during this year.

This is great news. And no it's not just an online store for us.
Most importantly, it opens configurable options.
People who didn't trust 3rd party sellers will feel more comfortable buying directly from apple.

Now only thing left is to reduce the taxes, then Apple will easily win the Indian market.

Since "Namaste" is a traditional greeting in India I think it's okay to use it for a store that is made for India. On the other hand I the patterns seem inappropriate to me, too.
The /s from his comment means sarcasm...
