dats cheaper than a 3g!!!!!
I don't see how ATT can avoid these price drops, they should follow suit and lower prices as well.
I'd much rather pay $100 more for the not yet released new model. The big money is what you'll be paying for two years worth of at&t. You might has well have the nicest hardware.
Or you can add a new line before AT&T it's new $325 ETF takes . Pay $97 for new iPhone 3GS with full 12 month warranty.
Cancel line, pay the $175 old ETF. So total cost $97 plus $175 ETF plus $36 activation fee. So including taxes total would be $350 for new ipbone 3GS 16gb not under contract with full 12 month warranty.
Sell your old 3GS which has less than one month of warranty left for at least $350 and up.
You can always re add a new line in 6 months to a other subsidized phone.
I am only suggesting this to still take advantage of the $175 ETF before it increases to $325 June 1st.
I feel sorry for the people with a lack of knowledge to research a product before they buy an iPhone right now.
In general, I'd say that it's the people who don't care so much about having the newest technology and they care most about the price of the phone. It's the same thing as buying a 3g for $99 when the 3gs was just released. It's a good deal for those people.

Third to this party. Good sign for all of those looking for this pricing structure:
-$99 iPhone 3GS 16GB
-$199 iPhone 4/HD 32GB
-$299 iPhone 4/HD 64GB
I think has to be 64GB to stay competitive in the market. And for those who say there isn't room, the Zune HD has a 64GB and it's super small and thin, so I can't imagine why it wouldn't be possible.

I like the way you think!
Progress means built in obsolescence.....
Now to business....please provide a 32GB iPod Nano!!!!
