Apple Seeds Seventh Beta of macOS Tahoe to Developers

Apple today provided developers with the seventh beta of macOS Tahoe 26 for testing purposes, with the update coming a week after the sixth beta.

Registered developers can download the new beta software through the System Settings app.

‌macOS Tahoe‌ features Apple's Liquid Glass redesign, which extends across all of the new updates this year. Apple also brought the Phone and Journal apps to the Mac for the first time, and introduced a new cross-platform Games app.

With the update, Apple overhauled how Spotlight works, enabling new functionality that allows it to be used to complete all kinds of actions like sending emails without having to open up an app. There are also changes to a number of apps, including Messages, Safari, and Notes.

We are getting closer, the last beta has been pretty much flawless for me, glass has been toned a bit from my perception, and it's a good thing.

Too bad window corners are still too rounded for my tastes.

Yeah, I just don't get it. Way too rounded. I've submitted via Feedback Assistant an idea to put in the Accessibility options a way to reduce such. Would like for others to do the same.

I did the same. I suggested having a window control sizing option that, based on the size, would reduce the rounded edges as well.

My hopes of seeing this make a return are fading with each release.
Sadly it seems to have gone the way of the dodo. Really annoying as there is no obvious reason for its removal. I think the design team moron that came up with the idea of having 3 different window corner radius’s in macOS must be the same moron that suggested removing compact tab bar in Safari. They need to be sent to work in Apple’s equivalent of the Siberian front.
