Kind of embarrassing to even sell 256 GB desktop Macs at a time when there are iPhones with more storage than that. I guess they sell it to be able to offer as low an entry price as possible. Problem is, if you take the bait you're likely to run out of space pretty quick if you accumulate much at all in the way of media or documents.

When you compare the iMac to other 4K all in one PCs, it's actually not a bad deal.

Nice design, but less pastel and more of the darker color shade on the front of the machine. Also, matte black would be nice.

Not for nothing, but the screen is actually better than 4K. They upped the pixel count to what they call "4.5K" (4480×2520) in order to keep the pixel density at their Retina standard at 24". The previous iMac 4K had about the same pixel density at 21.5" so they had to add some resolution to keep it as sharp.

When I bought my MacBook Air 256GB in 2011, I was disappointed then there wasn't a higher storage option, but I figured I would make do, being very careful. Nevertheless that drive was full very quickly. I remember thinking then, that in 10 years a typical laptop would probably start in the 2 TB range, or maybe even much, much higher. Shame on me.
