i really wish they just bump up all the ram config to 16gb standard, its 2022 and adding another 8gb of ram cost them literally less than 20 bucks.
We should all know Apple's M.O. by now. They'll include the bare minimum of RAM or SSD...forcing customers to pay a premium on what should be standard. Just so they can pad their pockets. It's no wonder Apple is now a TRILLION $$$ company.

Is there ever going to be a Mac mini sale for something other than a miserable 8GB RAM?

Can’t buy a computer with 256 GBs of storage in 2022 and then have Apple nag about you’re running out of free iCloud space. I wish they would mess up at the factory and install 8 TB storage in all configurations. ?

I still believe the best deal on a Mac is to buy as close to launch as possible. You will almost always make up the savings in productivity and pleasure.

That said, that $600 mini is really tempting, but I want 16 GB and 10 GBit.

It's good to see any sort of discount, given the chip shortages, manufacturing constraints, supply chain issues, etc.
It's almost like they don't exist. :)
