Apple Seeds Fourth Beta of tvOS 15.2 to Developers

Apple today seeded the fourth beta of an upcoming tvOS 15.2 update to developers, with the software coming two weeks after the third beta and a month after the release of tvOS 15.1, an update that introduced SharePlay support.

Apple TV tvOS 15 Feature
Developers can download the new tvOS 15.2 beta by downloading a profile onto the ‌Apple TV‌ using Xcode.

tvOS updates are often minor in scale, focusing on under-the-hood bug fixes and improvements rather than major outward-facing changes. There's no word yet on what's included in tvOS 15.2 update, but we'll update this article should anything new be found.

Though we don't often know what's new in tvOS during the beta testing process, we let MacRumors readers know when new updates are available so those who are developers can download it upon release.

tvOS hasn't added any major feature to a minor release since the very first tvOS. 9.2 released 5 months later added substantial changes and new features.

As for the feedback, Apple might as well call it a blackhole.

Does it fix library tab on Apple’s own hardware, or is "integration of hardware, software, services” still marketing BS?

This update is so minor that notes now states " There are no new release notes for this beta software update."

I think a couple here would badly like to see a new version of tvOS Apple TV app like they did recently for IPadOS 15.2 beta. The only question is how many submit feedback reports to Apple about that app. ;)

I said "tvOS hasn't added any major feature to a minor release" -- aside from Apple Music lossless audio and support for new Apple TV 4K hardware with calibration feature, none of the features you mentioned were introduced on minor versions.

And yes, I am aware that tvOS occasionally adds new service-oriented features on minor versions, such as improved Apple TV+ support, Apple Fitness+, and aforementioned improvements to Apple Music app. But by and large, Apple will reserve new features for major releases.
In your first sentence “- - aside from“ does not agree with the previous word *any*. You might change *any* to *rarely*.
