Priced at $99, the HomePod mini is a more budget friendly competitor to the Amazon Echo and Google Home, while still offering many features of the full-size HomePod, including Siri, HomeKit, Apple Music, Intercom voice messaging, and stereo pairing. HomePod mini is equipped with the same S5 chip as the Apple Watch Series 5, enabling "computational audio," and many reviewers have been impressed by the speaker's sound quality.

HomePod mini is also launching in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

It would have been even better if it had a battery in it (that would hotspot from the connected phone)
That would raise the price...and it would then compete with the beats pill...a different product...then people would say its too expensive and they wont buy it. its a home speaker. quit trying to make it something its not. "Would be great if that new Ferrari could also go off road and tow some jet skis." When the HomePod came out people said...its great but too expensive...now they make a less expensive version and now people are like its great...should be portable though...they will make that one next year and people will say thats great...should be cellular like an iPad so it can stream by itself....blah blah blah....I just wanna hear how it sounds...if it has the same sound signature as the HomePod just less volume...then im buying a few. Love the hompod, just dont need that much volume in every room.
