If I would be spending this kinda money, I am going the installment route instead. So, when I do upgrade it’s gonna be purchased using my Apple Card.

Florida is in a tax free weekend for certain 'back to school' items. Computers are tax free up to $1000 during this period. Apple is also adhering to the FL tax free weekend. I'm sure other states have similar times set up as well.
