Yet still no mention of Apple Pay Cash outside of the US...
That’s because Apple Pay Cash is backed by a bank. It took forever for these foreign banks to even agree to basic Apple Pay.

I wish my smaller hometown bank would support it. I asked them about it and said they have no plans to offer Apple Pay in the future. I’ve been considering changing banks.
I ended up going to a credit union for that reason.

I have my home mortgage thru a credit union, and asked them several years ago if they had plans to institute Apple Pay. At the time they said yes so I took out a credit card-because they don’t offer debit cards, and waited. It’s been about 4 years and I’ve used the card once and have never had a balance on the card, as I paid it off within a day. I told them recently that I am canceling the card and when they asked why I said it was the lack of Apple Pay support. They then said that they were considering adding it but I said I was told that 4 years ago and it hasn’t shown up yet.

My primary commercial bank has offered Apple Pay for at least 3years, and over time more of my business has migrated from the credit union to them because AP is easy (now) for me to use and its more secure than using a credit card at shops.
