For those bitching about Tim Cook...its Steves fault....he put him in charge.

For those bitching about the fact that its 'just an iPhone 4s' its shockingly again Steves fault for allowing a 2-year cycle with the 3Gs. Get it into your heads, Apple do not release a new iPhone every year, they do Year 1 Major, Year 2 Minor, Year 3 Major, Year 4 Minor, etc.

Down vote me if it makes you feel better, but I'm pretty confident that Apple have a much better idea about what they are doing than a bunch of customers who just want a new look toy.

The interwebs are doing a giant, collective yawn over the announcement.
The actual buying public cares very little about whatever unicorns the “interwebs” expected to appear today: they were already snapping up the iPhone 3GS as the second-best selling smartphone (after the iPhone 4).

It’s a very small collective yawn :) About a phone with tons of new features and specs... in the same shape. The last shape lasted 2 years, and now this shape has too. It’s just a shape. And a great one compared to all the thick bricks out there that somehow still don’t get any appreciable battery life!

Nothing against Cook. But he is like Steve Job's nerdy brother. Not the most charismatic dude.

Miss ya Steve.

I actually thought Tim did a great job up there. Seemed super cool and charismatic for being so nervous. Look at Steve's first public appearances; he wasn't perfect. Give Tim some time and he'll do great up there.

I like Tim Cook, he's someone I enjoy listening to, but watching a product launch without Steve will, after some 14 years, take a little time.

I'm not yawning over the iPhone 4S - there's a lot of important internal changes, and Siri is amazing - but Tim Cook's presentation skills seriously need upgrading.

"Let's Talk iPhone, and Bring Lots of Coffee" would be a better name for the event....
