USB2 in Certain PowerMacs?

MacNN posts a followup on the use of a USB 2.0 capable chip in the most recent PowerMac models. It appears some brave souls have attempted to use unofficial drivers to enable the USB2 capabilities:


    According to a Korean site Create Mac, it appears that the drivers for the USB 2.0 chipset in the MDD 1.25 and 1.42 Ghz are updated and confirmed that they do work

Warning is provided indicating that "Installation on other models could render the system inoperable".
