Update Your iPad Now to Avoid Security Issue
iPad users should urgently update to the latest version of iPadOS to fix a concerning security issue.

Apple released iPadOS 16.3.1 on Monday, February 13 – a small update to fix a range of bugs and issues on the iPad. The software update includes several minor bug fixes, but the most important part of the update is a fix for a severe problem with WebKit, Apple's browser engine, that allows malicious web content to execute code locally.
More worryingly, Apple says this issue was known to be "actively exploited" in the wild, so it is important to update to the new software as soon as possible. The vulnerability was a type confusion issue that Apple assures has been addressed with improved checks in iPadOS 16.3.1.
The iPadOS 16.3.1 update also fixes an issue with Siri and Find My, as well as a problem with iCloud settings. There are accompanying iOS 16.3.1 and macOS 13.2.1 updates to address the same issues on most of Apple's other devices.
