My healthy strategy is now to think „what do I need?“ before even looking and if I can’t come up with anything, I probably don’t need it ? so good for my bank account

In no way to I begrudge Mac Rumours for posting these kinds of promotions — they need to keep the lights on, and the content we love flowing.

That said, #$%^ amazon.

To each their own, of course, but please consider taking a trip to your local tech shop for your gadget needs, or go directly to the manufacturer's website. It's not always possible, I know, but I guarantee you they would appreciate your business more than amazon would.

Do not doubt the power you have as an individual to help/support businesses you like.

I'd don't even know of any local in our area, and there's no way a manufacturer's site will come close to beating Amazon shipping. But I also never got any major tech from them. Just cables and chargers and stuff. I could only see bigger stuff if I couldn't get pickup somewhere, and our area was shady for package theft, so I could use the Amazon Locker.
