'Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon' Now Available on Apple Arcade

"Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon" is now available on Apple Arcade, featuring a 16-bit style, randomized maps, and local co-op multiplayer.

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is the third game in the popular Oceanhorn series from developer Cornfox, set 200 years after the end of "Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm." Unlike previous entries in the series, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon takes inspiration from 1990s 16-bit dungeon crawlers, but it retains the creatures, environments, and archetypes that Oceanhorn players will be familiar with.

The family-friendly game features cartoony action and balanced gameplay. Each dungeon is randomly-generated, ensuring that maps are always different. Heroes also start each game with different stats and each character has distinctive attacks and abilities. Local co-op multiplayer allows players to collaborate together and take advantage of their character's special abilities in new ways.

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is available now on ‌Apple Arcade‌ for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.

Good on them for going somewhere different, albeit still inspired by the Zelda series. Might have to give this a go on the Apple TV with a controller to see if it scratches an itch.

If you're already running Catalina, what's your opposition to installing Big Sur? You've already lost 32 bit app support, so that can't be it.
I have a VPN and a few other programs that require the use of kernel extensions to function, Big Sur does not support kernel extensions.

I just attempted to download this to my iMac running Catalina 10.15.7 and a dialogue box popped up informing me that I require OS x 11 or higher to download it. This looks like Apple are slowly forcing us to update to Big Sur and I won't be doing that anytime soon. Time to drop Apple Arcade methinks.
You do realize that its not Apple is forcing you -- making this only compatible with Big Sur and later on macOS is a developer decision. They know which API's they are using when they write the game and what backwards compatibility they will get on iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and macOS (although I am betting that macOS has the least backwards compatibility since so many iOS API's came over to macOS in Big Sur and the odds of devs using them are much higher).

Oceanhorn-flavored Gauntlet in 16-bit? That looks worth a try, especially with coop play!
