I’m still happy with my purchase, you just have to make sure they are docked before you plan to use them. I’ll take that over wires any day. I can see why you wouldn’t want that, though.

Edit to add: they also charge to like 70% in 15 minutes and that charge lasts a long time.
Regular Powerbeats rated for 15hrs on a single charge that makes the charging case irrelevant. It’s one of the longest battery life I’ve seen for a wireless in-ear. Corded design also adds security while working out. Although you could say any of current Powerbeats is already secure on its own by earhooks design.

But the main advantage of the new Powerbeats for me is the actual power button. With PBP there’s no way you could turn the buds off. You either drain and use it, or charge it to 100% with the case.

That’s a perpetual torture for the battery, much like the AirPods. With the regular Powerbeats though, when it’s off, it’s off. The price (on sale or not) also seals the deal for me.

I enjoy my PBP when they actually charge in the stupid case. 199 isn’t a sale. You have been able to buy them everywhere at that price for at least a year.

Heard about the charging issues before I bought power beats. Same problem I had with a pair of Bragi Dash I owned way back. Reason I went no “pro”.
