Google Maps' Street View technology has been updated today to include virtual tours of 11 Disney parks for parents and children to explore in advance of a coming trip, or to rekindle memories of previous visits.

We're all about new fantastic points of view. Today Street View is going the distance, from California to Florida, to make Disney part of your world. Be our guest at 11 Disney Parks, and with Street View, anything your heart desires will come to you—castles, rides, attractions to infinity and beyond.

The Street View coverage takes in castles, rides and attractions around the various Parks, such as Florida's Magic Kingdom Park and the Avatar-themed world of Pandora in Animal Kingdom. The feature currently only includes parks in the United States, but that may change in future, given Google's recent efforts to expand its coverage of touristic landmarks across Europe and Asia through the service.

Google Maps can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

This feature could save me a small fortune. Now I just have to convince my family that it's just like being there. ;)

So...Apple sucks because Google has just added 11 of Disney’s parks and they have not? So...does this mean that Google sucked yesterday? Oh...and how long has Google maps be out? Doesn’t it make them super sorry for just doing this? This should have been done years ago. If we are using the same metrics.
No that means Google has been working on it as probably a lot of other new mapping tools... while over at Apple the Maps team can’t seem to figure out how to get night mode to work consistently

This is really cool! It makes it easier and more fun to help sketch out an itinerary for those who want to. Google maps has always been an awesome service. This type of thing (something that’s really cool and actually very useful) is what really shows things like “FlyOver” to be fairly useless gimmicks.

Apple Maps department seems to be sleeping.

Apple fans, yes, I know that NOT adding Disney Parks doesn't mean they don't add different stuff, but with Apple Maps.... it means exactly this : (

With iOS 18 Jumping to iOS 26, Will Apple Renumber iPhones Too?

Thursday May 29, 2025 1:59 pm PDT by
With the next-generation version of iOS and other 2025 software updates, Apple is planning to change its numbering scheme. Rather than iOS 19, which would logically follow iOS 18, Apple is instead going to call the update iOS 26. Apple plans to use 26 across all of its platforms (the number representing the upcoming year), which will presumably be less confusing than having iOS 19, macOS 16,...
