Apple Retail Stores Opening This Week in Paris, Charlotte, and Little Rock

apple store logoJust like last week, Apple once again plans to open three new retail stores this Saturday, continuing its push to open a total of 30 new stores between July and September. ifoAppleStore details the openings, which include two in the United States and one in France.

- Carré Sénart (Paris, France): Actually located in Sénart on the outskirts of Paris, the store is Apple's fourth in the Paris metro area and eighth overall in France.

- Northlake Mall (Charlotte, North Carolina): Joining the SouthPark store across town, the new Northlake Mall store will be the second in Charlotte and fifth in North Carolina.

- The Promenade at Chenal (Little Rock, Arkansas): First discovered back in March and apparently sped up from its original timeframe calling for an October opening, the new store is Apple's first in Arkansas. The state is ranked 32nd among U.S. states by population with 2.9 million residents and has been the most populous U.S. state without an Apple retail store. The opening will leave just six states (Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming) still without stores, and West Virginia, ranked 37th with a population of 1.8 million, will become the new most populous state without an Apple retail store.

McDonald's have 71 stores in Norway. How many do you think Apple have? Zero, none, 0

A long way to go.

But hey! You can always go to you nearby Apple store in Swed... no? Finl... no? Well, I guess we scandinavians can always travel to Germany if we want to shop at Apple Store. :D There's one in Hamburg, only 1500 kilometers away from Helsinki - a quick 36 hour drive there and back.

Yeah, Norway, Sweden, Finland... we're just way too small market areas compared to much more populated countries like Germany, UK, Italy. But it'd be great to have at least a small store in Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo.

that ones getting robbed for sure

Maybe, but probably not during business hours. You see Arkansas is a CCW state, so while it may be full of rednecks, they will be well-armed rednecks.

Note for the record, I am a redneck and a well-armed one at that.

Also, when is Apple going to put up a store that is closer to me? I have three stores, each exactly an hour away from me.

You could move to Dickinson, North Dakota, and then you could complain about any Apple Store being at least a day away. :)

If you have three Apple Stores within an hour drive away from your location, consider yourself fortunate. The large and sparse clump of Montana, Wyoming, and both Dakotas have exactly no Apple Stores at this time. If one was put somewhere, I imagine it would be either Fargo, Sioux Falls, or Billings that would get one.

This is awesome! I HATE going to South Park Mall in Charlotte. Way too uppity for me.

Ya.. I live 1 exit off I-77 from Northlake so it will be so much closer! I saw a couple months ago when they started making the Apple store there so I was estatic!

----------

CCW?

I don't think Northlake is as high-end as was originally planned but I do think it's second only to Southpark in metro-Charlotte. I would have loved to see a store open in Birkdale, 7 miles north of Northlake.

Ya... I always thought Birkdale would be the best place for an Apple store.. (also since it is 1 minute from my house).. Northlake will have to do.

No I was deadly serious when I said Apple is going to buy the Louvre and use it as an Apple store, in my universion this is a reality!:eek::):apple:

I think you may be onto something.

Is it a coincidence that the Carrousel du Louvre Apple Store is so close to the final scene in The Da Vinci Code? I think not! OMG, Steve Jobs is part of the Illunminati!!!
