at the GUI to MS Windows Whistler
, which is apparently a Microsoft effort to create a
more pleasant GUI to be placed on a combined
Windows NT / Windows 98 OS kernel. (Where does
that leave Win 2000??) At any rate, after using Aqua for
a few days now in OS X, I must say, this seems a bit
insignificant. But hey...


UPDATE:  Apparently Whistler is
the GUI they're working on to place on top of Windows
2000 (presumably via an incremental upgrade of some
sort). Makes a little more sense.
