Apple Seeds OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Build 13E25 to Developers

by

Apple today seeded build 13E25 of OS X 10.9.4 to developers, just under a week after seeding the third OS X 10.9.4 beta, build 13E19, and more than a month after the public release of OS X 10.9.3, which included enhanced support for 4K displays and syncing improvements.

The beta is available through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store and through the Mac Dev Center.

It remains unclear what improvements the 10.9.4 update will bring to Mavericks, but it is likely to include bug fixes and stability enhancements. Apple is asking developers to focus on Graphics Drivers, Bluetooth, Audio Drivers, Finder, App Store, and Safari.

I hope this means that Finder will become as snappy and responsive as it is in Snow Leopard, by far the most stable version of OS X to date.

I hope someday Finder becomes as responsive and snappy as Leopard, which had the most speedy Finder ever.
That someday ain't gonna come as long as Apple emphasise on yearly cycles...

I just got seeded 10.9.4 (13E19) as a Public Beta member, so I guess Devs are one cycle ahead.

it does not say "pre release" on mine, maybe it's the final build?

Here's picture of this release and you can see there is nothing about pre release for this one compared to the previous beta :)

Edit: Nevermind I missed the picture on the first post, it didn't load right away and I did not see it!

It's funny that in English we get the generic pre-release notes for the update but if I switch system language to French I get these same more detailed notes, in English.

Must be confusing for mac developers to test 2 different betas at the same time

Not really, most Devs would have multiple test environments anyway. Devs don't support just the latest OS, they have to support many previous versions of OS X, so adding one more to the mix shouldn't be an issue.
