Mac OS X 10.6.5 Build 10H531 Seeded to Developers

As noted by AppleInsider, Apple has seeded a third version of 10.6.5, termed Build 10H531, to developers for testing. The new build comes one week after the previous one and suggest that Apple is continuing to make rapid progress on the update.

Whereas the previous version carried no documented known issues, Build 10H531 exhibits one known issue involving USB devices not operating properly after waking from sleep on machines with VMware's virtualization products installed. Focus areas for the latest build are said to include iCal, Mail, USB Devices, 3D Graphics, QuickTime, and Time Machine.

The current version of Apple's Snow Leopard operating system, Mac OS X 10.6.4, was released in mid-June.

Do you have to be a registered Mac developer to download this or can iPhone devs also get it?

Hi,

I'm guessing there will be a release of this version right around the iPod event.

Anyone wanna bet 10.6.7 will be the end of Snow Leopard?

Some Mac news for a change. I love my MBP, I want a new trackpad update though. This issue that I've had with it is a common one... and annoying.

Why do we keep reporting on these developer seeds of 10.6.x upgrades. I mean, if there was some awesome feature coming, I would understand. But Apple is doing a ton more than just OS X. I think these updates to developers should be page 2 news from here on.

I've got a nagging issues with windows not staying it the assigned space, and none of the updates have fixed this issue. When Spaces doesn't show up as something on these updates lists, I lose hope that it'll be fixed this time around, either.

Oh, well.
