Apple subsidiary FileMaker today announced the launch of FileMaker 17, the newest version of the company's popular database platform designed to make it easy for businesses to create a range of customized apps able to operate effortlessly across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and the Web. Version 17 of the FileMaker software focuses on speeding up and simplifying app development through start apps, master-details layout options, and a revamped layout mode, plus it includes an overhauled FileMaker Server Admin Console and a new Admin API. Apple Subsidiary FileMaker Shares New Ad Starring Actors From The Office

Apple Subsidiary FileMaker, which makes a popular database platform, today launched a new ad campaign that brings together former stars of hit television show "The Office." Kate Flannery (Meredith), Leslie David Baker (Stanley), and Paul Lieberstein (Toby) team up in a three minute spot called "Farm Time." The ad features a news report on a popular beet farm where the trio use FileMaker to run their operation. FileMaker has had a teaser site in place for the last few weeks leading up to the launch of the ad spot, and that site initially led to some speculation that it a revival of a proposed "The Office" spinoff called "The Farm." There were also rumors floating around suggesting "Farm Time" could be a three-part commercial for Apple products, but as it turns out, it's simply a promotional spot for FileMaker. For those unfamiliar with FileMaker, it's a database platform that's designed to make it easy for businesses to build a range of customized apps that work across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and the web. The most recent version of FileMaker is FileMaker 16, introduced in March of 2017.

FileMaker 16 focuses on enhancing mobility, scalability, and security, along with providing new features and integrations for an improved app creation experience. Apple's FileMaker subsidiary today announced the launch of FileMaker 15, the latest version of the company's database platform for easily building customized apps. FileMaker's emphasis is on bridging the gap between generic apps and custom coding to allow teams with limited IT resources to efficiently build custom apps for a variety of platforms. Mobility is a key focus of FileMaker 15, with the FileMaker Go iOS app gaining support for Touch ID and 3D Touch Quick Actions, improving security and ease of access for custom apps within FileMaker Go.
