Apple Testing iPhone 17 Pro Color That Changes Before Your Eyes
Apple could be cooking up something special for the iPhone 17 Pro's color lineup, if a singular rumor out of Asia is anything to go by.

Chinese leaker Instant Digital has hinted at a mysterious new finish connected to iOS 26's "Liquid Glass" design language. It's described as apparently appearing white but somehow shifting depending on lighting conditions. (Picture one of those phone cases that shimmer differently when you tilt them, except built right into Apple's chassis materials.)
With the iPhone 17 Pro reportedly switching from all-titanium to a part-glass, part-aluminum construction, it's quite possible that Apple has more flexibility in how light interacts with the device's surface. A color that subtly shifts and plays with reflections could create an arresting visual harmony between hardware and software.
Before you get too excited though, Instant Digital admits they've only heard about this color, not seen it. And while they've nailed some Apple predictions before (like the yellow iPhone 14), their track record isn't flawless. Also, we've not heard any corroborating details – other iPhone 17 Pro color leaks suggest new Dark Blue and Orange colors.
But there's something compelling about the idea of Apple creating a finish that literally reflects its software design philosophy. We'll find out soon enough when the iPhone 17 lineup arrives this September.
