Amazon today introduced a new all-time low price on the 2019 AirPods 2 with Wired Charging Case, available for $79.00, down from $129.00. The headphones are in stock and ready to ship today, with a delivery estimate between October 6 - 9.

This price beats the previous record low price by about $10, and that previous best-ever price is one we haven't seen since last Black Friday. We don't know how sales will go this holiday shopping season, but right now this is a great chance to get a pair of AirPods at an ultra-low entry-level price.

This is the version of the AirPods 2 that comes with a Wired Charging Case, made to be used with an Apple Lightning Cable. Apple discontinued the AirPods 2 with Wireless Charging Case with the launch of the AirPods 3.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

Update: This deal has expired.

The original AirPods design still fits my ears best. Never had them fall out, even during active exercise. The same can’t be said for the AirPods 3, sadly. I hope they keep selling these for the next few years at least.

Came here to say exactly that. Tried the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro but neither work for my ear shape, they fall out wherever I move my jaw. Meanwhile I can run and ride my bike with the AirPods 1 and 2 and they have never fallen out.

Please Apple, never stop making this shape!

I swear they were $79 at 8:25am central time. I saw them and sent my son a text. Now at 9:29am I check and they are $119. What the heck happened. I was going to buy.

Remember when EarPods (wired) came out and Apple talked about scanning thousands of ears to find a shape that really worked?

What happened to all that research and design? I know the aesthetics of the stem aren‘t great, but I’d much rather have the stem and AirPods that fit well compared to what the 3s and Pros look like without fitting well.
