Me too. Odd.

So does this mean when iPadOS 16.0 is released officially, it won't update us automatically since it'll think we're already on 16.1?
iPadOS will not release as 16.0. The official release will be delayed and it will be 16.1.

Why iPadOS 16 beta 5 instead of iPadOS16.1 beta 1?
Downloaded a iPadOS 5th public beta and installed as iPadOS 16.1 beta 1 (20B5027f) !!

How awesome!

Yep. There was a three-week gap between Monterey beta 5 and 6, too.
I guess the macOS team is off in august, cuz last year, at least, they didn’t deliver anything for these 3 weeks.

Since I have been on beta, when using carplay, if I say answer a call, or do anything else, and go back to the map, the map is a black screen. I have to exit the map again and go into another app, then back, and then it will usually show the map. Hoping this last beta fixes that.

anyone else hoping we'd get classic wallpaper collections back at some point (device specific wallpapers for example)

I suppose we can just find them online and make our own home screens with them now though
