So this is basically an iPhone 8 shell with better battery, updated processor and faster charging?
Pretty much, except the iPhone 8 came with a charger and EarPods in the box.

I don't think this phone could "lure" 100 million Android users given the $429 price point. You can get a better, bigger, phone for less.

The 13 mini is still so much better with everything v this SE and offers so many more add-ons. Wait, you say? The Mini is still a couple hundred more? Well worth it with the type of display alone.
Long live the mini :D

It won't and based on past data, it'll attract some Android users on prepaid plans in the U.S. and Europe. The vast majority of price sensitive users around the world will continue to buy an Android with 6.42" OLED and quad-camera at this price.
I don't think you need to be price sensitive to not find it unatractive. In most of the world outside of the US there are really decent Android alternatives in the 300-600$ price bracket(like really decent phones from a hardware standpoint) and this SE will be priced closer to 600$ outside of the US. It's biggest advantage is the SOC but honestly there isn't much you can do with it on such a small phone and with a small battery.
