I'd rather buy a Mac Pro, and have my assistant carry it around for me.

I seriously hate these headlines. Just configure it without the 8TB of storage.

If you are not a pro, this "seems" expensive. If you are, and make your money on billable time doing pro work, its not bad at all.

Ha in the U.K. it costs the exact same price to just upgrade to 64 and 2TB. It’s cheaper to fly to the states stay in a nice hotel, buy it there, get the maxed out version and still have money left over.

The bulk of that $6099 comes from the 8 TB of SSD. Just get the 1TB SSD and add more storage with an external SSD through the Thunderbolt 4 port. That's what Thunderbolt 4 was intended to do.
