Apple Seeds Second Beta of watchOS 6.2 to Developers

Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.2 update to developers, two weeks after seeding the first beta and two weeks after the release of watchOS 6.1.2 with bug fixes.

Once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Developer Center, the new watchOS beta can be downloaded through the dedicated ‌‌Apple Watch‌‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

To install the update, the ‌‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌‌ needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it has to be in range of the ‌‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌‌.

watchOS 6.2 introduces Apple Watch App Store support for in-app purchases, which will allow developers to create and sell Apple Watch apps that offer in-app purchase options and subscriptions.

Code in iOS 13.4, the companion update to watchOS 6.2, suggests that both the ‌iPhone‌ and the Apple Watch will in the future have a “CarKey” feature that will let them be used in lieu of a car key to unlock NFC-capable vehicles. It’s not clear if this feature will be available when watchOS 6.2 launches, but it is in the works.

Hopefully, this fixes my issue with something almost always being "amiss" with Siri.
Been having that since last beta.
lets not get too ahead ourselves. Many of us are awaiting watchos’ Messges app to properly sync both iMessages & sms with iOS macOS and iPadOS. Still waiting.

It has to either be a bug or it's more complicated to implement than we realize. Either way, this is driving me mad at work.
you and me both!

I see it as a personal security issue on the digital device that more or less can be easily hacked by someone else.

melt me break it down in such a situation:

you’re dating on girl/man and it’s not fully monogamous or it’s very early stages of dating nothing fully committed. Let’s say you’re out with Date #1 and Date #2 sends you a text/iMessage. You read it discretely yet will reply later.

Date is going well with Date #1 , and you’re pretty sure that Date #1 is your choice. You call #2 and end that acquaintance. You call not message cause we’ll you’re old school (or better yet you meet them in person after the call).

a few days/weeks go by and we’ll date #1 sleeps over at your place or you’re both watching and chilling and you fall asleep on the couch or at the beach. Guess what’s sneaky #1 could do or does. She sees that hot message date #2 sent you but you forgot to delete on the Watch cause you figured via the Watch app on iOS the setting is set to:

Apple Watch App > Messages > Mirror my iPhone (! Damnit Mirror what is or is NOT in messges on my iPhone then be just that Apple Watch S3/4/5 since WatchOS 4!)

Or, in my case, I see my boss reply to me on my watch but he actually replied to me and my peers in our group message thread on my phone and everyone else’s.

Or that spam text that got filtered and I deleted on my phone I then have to delete again on my watch and a third time on my Mac. Absolute madness!
