Some iPhones with Daylight Savings Glitch?

Mashable reported that some iPhones were seeing a problem causing it to improperly adjust to daylight savings time in the U.S.

Daylight saving time hits tonight/tomorrow morning, which means we all lose an hour of sleep unless you have a Verizon iPhone, in which case youll wake up utterly confused, as phones are currently falling back an hour.

They originally pinpoint the problem to Verizon iPhones, but also report that some AT&T iPhones may be affected too.

We've seen reports (another) from our readers that have seen the problem which also seems to affect alarms going off in the morning.

I have no idea what time it should be, but my iPhone's time matches my iPad's time, so I think it's right. :/

New iOS update, same old story. With all the time it takes Apple to release these updates, will they ever get it right,

I'm with Rogers in Canada and my iPhone 3G Date & Time had "Set Automatically" to ON. I had to change "Set Automatically" to OFF before the time corrected itself. My Time Zone is set to Toronto.

My Mac changed correctly (Leopard 10.5.8) and the Set Date & Time automatically checkbox was ticked.

I'd say Apple have a problem with iOS 4.2.1 as well. Governments around the world should stop dicking around with Daylight Savings. That would solve the problem.

I have a Verizon iPhone, and I had it happen. At midnight last night, my phone rolled back to 11pm. I went in to change it manually, and turning off DST corrected it. I left DST and rebooted my phone, and its worked perfectly since. It stayed at midnight then, and this morning, it has successfully rolled forward.

So yes, there is a bug, but a reboot fixed it for me.
