Review: Twelve South's New 'HiRise Wireless' Converts From Stand to Mat for Charging iPhone and AirPods

Twelve South today announced its latest HiRise accessory, called the "HiRise Wireless," and it's available to purchase now on Twelve South's website. The new accessory is a multi-purpose wireless charging stand with two distinct positions: you can charge your iPhone upright in a traditional stand position, or pop out the Qi-certified Power Disc for a miniature device that's perfectly sized to charge AirPods, or to bring with you when you travel. The Power Disc is also USB-C compatible, so that when you bring it on a trip you can leave the included power cord at home and use the USB-C cable that comes with the latest MacBook and iPad Pro models to charge your iPhone or AirPods on the mat. Twelve South built the accessory with size in mind, ensuring that it has a small footprint in both charging positions: the main base of the accessory measures 3.5 inches across all sides, while the Power Disc is an oval that measures 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches. Design I've had a chance to use the new HiRise Wireless stand over the course of the past week, and it's quickly replaced the previous Choetech wireless charging stand I had next to my iMac. The design of the accessory matches the quality of Twelve South's previous HiRise products, with a soft-touch leather padding that looks nice alongside the device's chrome detailing. The HiRise Wireless is reliably sturdy, and there's a small bump on the base to keep your iPhone upright when it's charging. The stand has a nice heft to it, which helps ensure that it won't budge when you interact with it; a rubberized coating under the

Review: The Twelve South HiRise is an Ideal Stand for Apple Watch

Twelve South is an accessory company that's known for its high-quality stands for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, so it's no surprise that it was one of the first to announce a dock for the Apple Watch. The Twelve South HiRise for Apple Watch follows in the footsteps of the company's other HiRise docks, offering an Apple Watch storage and charging solution that's attractive, well-designed, and suitable for use in a wide range of locations, from a desk in an office to a nightstand in a bedroom. I've been using the HiRise for Apple Watch for over a week now, as have a few of my colleagues both at MacRumors and TouchArcade, and the universal consensus is that it's a great stand, albeit with a premium price tag. HiRise for Apple Watch is made from brushed metal and is available in black or silver to match the finishes of the Apple Watch Sport and standard Apple Watch. It also matches the company's HiRise products for other devices, if you happen to own any of those.

Twelve South's HiRise Duet Dock is Available Again After Selling Out Last Year

Twelve South today announced that its popular HiRise Duet combination dock for iPhone and Apple Watch is available to purchase again. HiRise Duet was originally introduced in November 2016, but the dock sold out within just a few weeks and it remained out of stock until today. Twelve South appears to have finally received more units from its manufacturer. The dock has an integrated Lightning connector and magnetic puck to charge both an iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. The stand holds the Apple Watch on its side so that it can be used in Nightstand mode on a bedside table. Both the Lightning connector and support post are adjustable to work with most popular iPhone cases on the market today. The dock, designed with dark gray metal and accented with soft, black napa leather, has a 3.75-inch square footprint. One AC power cable extends from the base of the stand, providing 15 watts of total power. HiRise Duet is $119.99 on Twelve South's website with free shipping in the United States. It's designed for iPhone 5s or later and any Apple

Twelve South today expanded its HiRise lineup, launching a new stand designed to match the rose gold iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. Twelve South's HiRise Deluxe stands for iPhone and iPad are some of its most popular products, and with the addition of the rose gold color, there's a finish to match every iOS device. "There is something special about the new Rose Gold iPhone. Twelve South Announces HiRise Charging Stand for Apple Watch

Twelve South on Wednesday unveiled the HiRise for Apple Watch, a brushed metal stand designed to hold all three editions of the wrist-worn device. The stand showcases the entire Apple Watch, allowing you to interact with the screen while it is charging, and features a non-slip rubber base, silicone accents and leather landing pad to keep the smartwatch secure and protected. HiRise for Apple Watch, similar to the iPhone version of the stand, is slightly angled so that you can easily interact with the Apple Watch from a bedside table or countertop. The watch band tucks away cleanly behind the stand's metal frame, with the silicone accents preventing any scratches or scuffs. A pop-out disk on the back of the stand keeps the Apple Watch's magnetic charging cable out of sight. HiRise for Apple Watch will be released in May for $49.99 on Twelve South's website, available in silver and gray options. Those interested in the product can sign up to Twelve South's mailing list with their name, email address and country of residence to receive updates when the product becomes
