Every year, Apple holds three or four events to unveil new products. There's often a spring event around March or April, the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, a September event focused on the iPhone and Apple Watch, and sometimes, an October or November event that features Macs and iPads.
In this guide, we're tracking the Apple events that are on the horizon, including what we're expecting to see at each one. Make sure to check in often, because we'll be updating this guide with new rumors regularly.
October Announcements
Apple is expected to announce new home devices on October 13. There won't be a full Cupertino event, but Apple could do a mini event to show off the new products.
HomePod mini 2
The HomePod mini 2 will feature an updated S-series chip, and Apple's N1 networking chip with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. There will be at least two new colors, including pink and sage green.
Home Hub
Apple is planning to launch a home hub that will support smart home products, listening to music, making video calls, getting the weather, looking things up with Siri, displaying photos, making notes, viewing calendar events, and more. The home hub has an all-display design with an iPad-like 7-inch display. There are two models, one that's designed to be mounted to the wall and one that's got an included speaker base that looks like a HomePod mini.
Apple TV 4K
The Apple TV will get a new Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, along with a faster A19 or A19 Pro processor that will add support for console-quality games and Apple Intelligence. No design changes are expected.
Late 2026
Beyond the home products, there are other devices rumored for late 2026. It's possible these would be announced with a press release.
OLED MacBook Pro
A MacBook Pro (or MacBook Ultra) with an OLED touchscreen display could launch in late 2026, but Apple might also hold it until early 2027. The higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook models will use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips because Apple isn't going to release M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. The OLED MacBook Pro will have an updated design.
Entry-Level 14-inch MacBook Pro
The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to get an M6 chip, and it'll be one of the first machines with Apple's 2-nanometer chip technology.
iMac
The 24-inch iMac will get an update, and it'll also get the new M6 chip. No design or display changes are expected, so it'll continue to look like the current model from 2024.
iPad mini 8
The iPad mini 8 is rumored to feature a major technology upgrade, with Apple set to adopt an OLED display. The iPad mini 8 could have a more water resistant design with a vibration-based speaker system that allows Apple to eliminate the device's speaker holes, plus it's expected to use the same A20 chip that Apple first used in the iPhone 18 Pro.
2027 Launches
- iPhone 18 - Apple didn't release an iPhone 18 in September 2026 because the company is pursuing a split launch strategy. The iPhone 18 Pro models launched in September 2026, and the iPhone 18 will come in early 2027.
- AirPods Max - Apple could refresh the AirPods Max in 2027, cutting down on weight.
- iPad Pro - There is no new iPad Pro expected in 2026, but in 2027, it's expected to get a faster M6 or M7 chip and vapor chamber cooling to improve performance.
- iPhone 18e - Also slated for spring 2027, the iPhone 18e could launch alongside the iPhone 18. It is expected to feature few changes, but it will get a new chip and more RAM.
- iPhone Air 2 - There is no second-generation iPhone Air planned for fall 2026 because Apple has delayed it. It could instead come in spring 2027. Apple is reportedly looking at adding a second camera to make the device more appealing to consumers. The next iPhone Air might also be more affordable.
- iPad 12 - Apple is working on an updated version of the low-cost iPad, and rumors suggest it will have the A19 chip that was first used in the iPhone 17, 8GB of RAM, Apple's C1X modem, and the N1 networking chip. Design changes are not expected. The iPad 12 will launch in the first quarter of 2027 at the earliest.
- 20th Anniversary iPhone - The 2027 iPhone will have an "enclosure on the front and back that curves around the device edges," which allows for a bigger screen with no bezels. The 20th anniversary iPhone will launch in September 2027.
- AirPods Pro or Ultra - Apple is working on another version of the AirPods Pro that could have tiny cameras that will feed data to Siri AI for Visual Intelligence features. The AirPods are expected to launch in September 2027.
- Tabletop robot (J595) - Apple's tabletop robot with a thin robotic arm, 9-inch display, and swivel base is expected to be a more powerful version of the home hub. It's rumored to be launching sometime in 2027 with a price tag around $1,000.
- MacBook Air - Refreshed 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models are planned for early 2027. The new machines are likely to get the M6 chip Apple used in the Mac mini.
- M7 14-inch MacBook Pro - An updated entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M7 chip could launch in the first half of 2027. It will not have an OLED display like Apple's higher-end MacBook Pro machines coming in late 2026 or early 2027, but it is expected to get the same design overhaul.
- MacBook Neo - There's a new version of the low-cost MacBook Neo coming in early 2027. It's expected to use a faster A19 Pro chip and it will come with 12GB of RAM. New colors are also a possibility.
- Apple Smart Home Camera - Rumors suggest that Apple is designing its own indoor security cameras that will connect to HomeKit and interface with the home hub.
- AI Smart Glasses - Apple is working on smart glasses that will rival Meta's AI Ray-Bans. The smart glasses will include cameras, speakers, sensors, and AI, but no displays. The glasses will support listening to music, making phone calls, and interacting with Siri AI. Apple will announce the glasses at WWDC 2027 and launch them later in the year.
- OLED iPad Air - Apple could introduce an iPad Air with an OLED display sometime in 2027.
Products With Unknown Release Dates
- HomePod - Apple is rumored to be working on a new version of the full-size HomePod, but there is no word on when it's going to come out.
- OLED iMac - Apple is also working on an OLED iMac, but it's not known when exactly it will come out. It could be released sometime around the OLED MacBook Air in 2028.
- Second OLED MacBook Pro - A second-generation OLED MacBook Pro will come approximately a year after Apple releases the first version. The late 2027 to early 2028 MacBook Pro models will get Apple's M7 Pro and M7 Max chips, which are built for artificial intelligence workloads.
- OLED MacBook Air - Apple plans to bring OLED displays to the MacBook Air, but 2028 is the earliest we'll see an OLED MacBook Air, and launch timing could even be pushed back.

2026 Events That Already Happened
January 2026
In January 2026, Apple unveiled the second-generation AirTag. There was no event held because it was a one-off product announcement. Apple instead announced the new device via a press release.
The AirTag 2 features a louder, upgraded speaker and a second-generation Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip that improves the range of Precision Finding.
March 4 Apple Experience
Apple held an "Apple Experience" in New York, London, and Shanghai on March 4, and ahead of the event, announced the MacBook Air with M5 chip, the iPad Air with M4 chip, the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, a low-cost $599 MacBook Neo, and the $599 iPhone 17e.
Later in March, Apple debuted the AirPods Max 2.
WWDC - June 8
At the WWDC 2026 keynote event on Monday, June 8, Apple introduced iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, visionOS 27, watchOS 27, and tvOS 27. The updates are in beta testing and will be released in the fall.
August Macs
Apple refreshed the Mac Studio and Mac mini in August 2026. The Mac mini was updated with Apple's first 2nm chip, the M6, and the higher-end version uses the M5 Pro. The Mac Studio was updated with the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips.
September iPhone Event
On September 9, Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and foldable iPhone Duo. Apple also debuted the AirPods 5, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and Apple Watch Series 12. September also saw the launch of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.
