Apple Announces Sneaky Sasquatch Updates, Files New Trademarks

Apple just announced a Subway Surfers+ crossover with hit Apple Arcade game Sneaky Sasquatch, with a "birdwatching update" coming September 17 that lets players photograph more than 30 species of birds in the game.

"Sneaky Sasquatch is the most beloved game on Apple Arcade and has had one of the most passionate communities of players since day 1," said Alex Rofman, Apple's senior director of Apple Arcade. "This exclusive crossover with Subway Surfers+ and the new birdwatching update are just the latest ways players can enjoy Sneaky Sasquatch, with more awesome updates planned for the game over the coming months."

As we reported in an earlier version of this article, Apple is seeking trademarks for Sneaky Sasquatch merchandise, including clothing, costumes, watches, jewelry, books, trading cards, bags, lunchboxes, bedding, towels, and more. Apple's request was filed on March 25 and is now under examination in the EU. It follows separate U.S. applications in October 2025 covering toys, plush figures, TV series, films, music, fan clubs, and board games.

Apple acquired Sneaky Sasquatch last year. Trademark filings don't guarantee that products will be released, but Apple may be exploring a wider merchandise line for the popular Apple Arcade game. Get your Sneaky Sasquatch iMessage stickers here.

Personally I found this game baffling and put it down after a few minutes and never touched it again.

Do people really like this game, or is Apple just desperate for merch revenue for some reason?
Yes, people really like the game.

Last I heard the Ford Sasquatch was recalled for something. As seems with a lot of Ford products these days.

Some of those new retro styled full size Broncos are really cool looking. I like the ones with the painted steel rims and 60's/70's look grills. Ford did a good job on the styling of them. I saw one on the highway the other day with the doors removed and it looked like fun.

But those days are past for me. I want something that rides smoother and has a quiet interior. A Bronco/Jeep isn't the right vehicle for that.
So you're saying the Sasquatch may exist but no one sees them in the wild...

I think my problem was with the controls. Maybe I was holding it wrong.
It's a very good game, of its type. It's huge open world game, and it can appeal to adults and kids alike, because it's challenging enough to keep you playing and exploring, but there's no "unsuitable" content.

For my daughter and I, it's a game we can play together without my feeling it's too "dumbed down" but also without things I feel uncomfortable with my daughter interacting with. The sense of humour is good, and there are lots of other characters that are interesting. The world, in its own way, is very well thought out. It feels like a "proper" game world.

The controls are tricky at first, but I find any touchscreen controls a bit weird. My daughter has no problem with touchscreen controls.

I wonder if Ford Motor Company would object since they have the Sasquatch package option for the Ford Bronco. :p

Good to know about the new addition to Arcade. Don't think it is for me though.
