Oh and the National Park Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so Apple could likely write off the entire $1 million as a charitable deduction. So, in reality, this "generous" donation might not even cost Apple a dime after tax breaks.
Uh, yeah. Thats how the world works. Did you know you can deduct your personal charitable donations too? I guess that makes it less generous though, so I guess you shouldn’t bother. /s

Apples donating $1M and you guys are complaining that it’s tied to sales or not enough. Give me a break. Can’t a nice thing just be a nice thing?

Isn't the National Park Foundation controlled by Trump loyalists who treat it as a slush fund? Am I wrong about that?
It’s the height of ignorance to act like one political party abuses money and other does not.

Greed, corruption, and mismanagement at the local, state, and federal level transcend party lines.

Focus on more productive topics like how the iPhone ultra will be the most successful, genius product the world has ever seen…

…right behind the iPhone Air.

You’re a trillion dollar company. You can donate a million no strings attached as we’ve seen and it would be ashtray change for you.
So nice to see you and others A: dictate how Apple makes donations, and B: have the nerve to deem such donations as insufficient.

Same as it ever was

When I’m donating to causes I support, I don’t donate sums that amount to nickels and dimes in comparison, I don’t make it conditional on people buying stuff from me, and I don’t advertise my greenwashing to gain clout.
You’re right, nobody wants nickels and dimes. I’m going to stop “rounding up” the next time they ask for a donation at the grocery store. /s

By the way, grocery stores do this as a tax deduction. So, I’m sorry sick kids, you’ll need to get your charity from a less greenwashed source next time.
