Best of 2024: Apple Faces Worst Leak Since iPhone 4 Was Left in a Bar
In early October, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip surfaced in YouTube videos around three weeks before it was announced by Apple. While the 14-inch MacBook Pro did not receive any massive new features, it is extremely rare for fully-functioning, unannounced Apple hardware to appear in the wild, so this might have been the worst leak for Apple since one of its employees accidentally left an iPhone 4 prototype in a bar in 2010.

Upgrades for the base-model 14-inch MacBook Pro included the M4 chip, a minimum of 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB, longer battery life, a nano-texture display option, a 12-megapixel camera with a Center Stage feature that keeps you centered in the frame, an additional Thunderbolt 4 port, a Space Black color option, and more.
